Guys like to talk about cars. They, as children, will ride down the road and point out every “cool” car or truck. You’ll hear things from the backseat like, “Look, a Ferrari!” or, “Man, look at the wheels on that truck!” As adults, they still do it. They go to car shows. They talk with their friends about what kind of motor is under the hood. Does that come stock or is it custom? There’s a million things you can mention when it comes to cars and trucks. The one thing that always comes up is, “How much does that cost?” What makes certain cars and trucks so different and desirable from the rest is their rarity. Most of the time, if something is very rare, it’s expensive. There’s typically a big dollar sign attached to the item. That’s why people marvel at it because it’s just not quite available to everyone.
The world is full of nice things. Automobiles are just one example. There’s fine jewelry, handbags, homes etc. The list goes on and on. God definitely gave creativity to people to show the world an awesome part of who our Creator IS. The created items are very amazing and I’m not trying to take away from that in any way. But they are just signs pointing you to The ultimate Creator. There are pieces of artistry in this world that man cannot make. Look at a majestic sunset for example. The colors blazing across the sky with perfect tones to capture the human eye. No man can make that. No price tag could ever be applied to it. Our God gives it to us freely for all to enjoy. I love the kindness of our Lord. He includes everyone! “For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.” (Matthew 5:45 NLT) Every single person is invited to enjoy the beauty of this world.
What about the blessings that only The Lord can provide? You can’t buy “peace”. The delivery truck can’t deliver healing for your sick body. Goodness and love would just be “theories” if we didn’t have a standard in which to measure. The Great I AM is so much more than we ever could imagine! Our finite minds can only take us so far. This almighty One wants to have a personal relationship with us. Is that not mind blowing? He longs to bandage your wounds. He wants to heal your broken heart. He wants to restore wayward relationships. This is who He IS!
“He said to me: ‘It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.’” (Revelation 21:6 NIV) This water flowing with His blessings is for anyone and without cost! You cannot fathom all He is and all He can do. You certainly could never put a price on it. Nobody could afford it. What The Lord offers you is the most rare. It’s literally one of a kind. He offers who He IS to every single person on the planet. Anything you could ever imagine is completely in Jesus. Absolutely free and no strings attached!
The kindness of our Lord blows me away. I love how He loves. There’s a sweetness that just gets to me. Our hearts are hardwired to be filled by His goodness and then overflow to others. Living your best life is living in His presence. “The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made.” (Psalms 145:9 NIV) This is not just rare. It’s priceless!
