Webster defines the word omniscient as knowing everything: having unlimited understanding or knowledge. Try to imagine knowing everything!! You simply cannot. We’re created in the image of God but we are not Him. He is omniscient! This is totally not understood by us and yet amazing for us at the same time. The One who holds the universe together is also holding us in the very palm of His hand! Mind blowing or what? We, as His children, have access to the very One who knows everything!! Let that sink into your brain. Don’t take it lightly. Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish (‭Isaiah‬ ‭46‬:‭10‬ NLT). So, I ask you, what is too difficult for Him? Nothing! Our questions, our doubts, our frailties and our sinful nature is no match for the omniscient One. He knows all of this about you and loves you despite it all.

For who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to give him advice? (‭Romans‬ ‭11‬:‭34‬ NLT) We, as humans, like to think we’ve got the world figured out. We know best. We may not admit it but this is true. We hit a series of problems one right after another. Our minds start spinning. We will figure this out. We present our issues to the Lord and ask Him to cause our will to come to pass. Problem solved! Really? Not so fast. The issue does not in any way, shape or form turn out the way we figured it out to be and then we’re angry. We just don’t understand why God didn’t “perform” the way we expected Him to. This is the real problem. He’s not a genie in a bottle. He’s Almighty God and He’s not only concerned about our issues but also the condition of our hearts. He knows all secret flaws and refuses to leave them the way they are. We, in our human state, are no match for His omniscience! He knows best and that should settle the matter, whatever it is, every time. We can fully trust Him to know the right way in every circumstance because unlike us, He knows every detail in every scenario.

But what if? There are no “what if’s” with God. He cannot be taken by surprise with anything. He can’t be caught in a trap the enemy has set. He won’t take the bait that you and I fall for. It is so vital that we understand this. He is outside of our time, space and dimension. Yet, He’s right here with us at the same time! He has a vantage point that we don’t have. Trust Him with your conflicts. Trust Him with your loved ones. Trust Him with your very life! He already knows. He wants you to walk in the peace that comes to those who make Him Lord. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you (‭Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭4-5‬ NLT). This will take the heavy load away from you and put it into completely capable hands. This is what a journey of life living with Jesus is all about. Exchanging our messes for His peace is part of this wonderful fellowship package! Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you (‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ NLT).

This all powerful, all loving and all knowing God knows the beginning from the end! He will not let you sink. Even if it “feels” like you’re on a sinking ship, you’re not! Feelings are the voice of the flesh. Faith knows better. It is the voice of Jesus. Faith says, Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault (‭Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭24‬ NLT). God knows everything about each individual’s journey through this tough terrain we call earth. He’s not intimidated by the very place He created. He knows how to bring you safely to your eternal home with Him and everything in between. Don’t give up! Fight the good fight! You have the omniscient One on your side!
