The Women’s Health Company

Frequently Asked  Questions

We can't wait to serve you!

Please read below frequently asked questions about our practice prior to booking your first appointment.

Do you accept health insurance?

We truly value the time and specialized care that we provide to each patient. Unfortunately, insurance plans often severely limit the time a practitioner can spend with a patient as well as the type of care they can provide. Therefore, we do not participate with any healthcare insurance plans. While appointments with our clinic are cash pay, you are able to use your private insurance plan to order bloodwork through LabCorp. We also accept HSA/FSA cards as payment.

The week prior to your first appointment, you will receive a non-refundable $10 invoice through our payment processor to hold your appointment. We will also store this credit card information on file and charge the remainder of your appointment at the time of your visit as well as any subsequent appointments that you may have. The card information is kept secure by our payment system.

Do you order labs through insurance?

We do! We are contracted with LabCorp and are able to enter your health insurance information into LabCorp, who will bill your insurance plan for your labs.

We also offer a discounted self-pay rate for labs if you do not wish to run them through insurance.

Do you prescribe hormone replacement therapy?

Absolutely! We believe in the benefit of HRT for many women and it is one of the primary focuses of our practice. We prescribe various forms and types of hormone replacement therapy to women including estrogen, progesterone & testosterone and multiple options for thyroid hormone replacement. At this time, we do not offer pellet therapy.

Do you offer GI Map and food sensitivity testing?

Yes! We do. We are partnered with RUPA Health to offer this type of testing. We also believe GI Map testing can be extremely beneficial and often key to optimizing hormone health in women, and often food sensitivity testing helps us discern food triggers of inflammation. Please see our services page for pricing. RUPA Health does not accept health insurance as these tests are self pay. However, we are able to offer you a “super bill” to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Do you do general OB/GYN care such as pap screenings?

We do not. Due to the specialty nature of our clinic, we do not provide primary care or general gynecology services. We recommend you are established with these types of providers for preventative healthcare services outside of The Women’s Health Company.

Do you accept HSA/FSA?

Yes! You may utilize these accounts to pay for your care with The Women’s Health Company.

What is the best way to contact The Women's Health Company?

For existing patients, we ask that you contact us through the patient portal.

For new patients, please contact admin@thewomenshealthcompany.com for questions.

What if I have medical questions between my appointments?

We truly understand that at times it may be necessary to communicate with our office via the portal, email or phone call regarding certain aspects of your medical care or other administrative needs or asking a MINOR medical question. However, providing medical advice or treatment via email or through the portal is not an ideal or an effective way for our providers to practice medicine. If you have more than 1-2 BASIC questions, an issue that requires discussion, questions regarding a new health issue, or questions that require access to your chart or clinical decision making by your provider, then you will be asked to schedule a brief 10 to 25 minute follow-up appointment so that the proper attention can be given to your concern.

Please note that our clinicians and administrative staff receive an overwhelming number of messages and phone calls on a daily basis, so we have a 72-BUSINESS HOUR return message policy. We make every attempt to return your messages in a timely manner, but it may take up to 72 business hours to get back to you.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to note that The Women’s Health Company is NOT an acute-care or emergent-care facility and does not take after-hours calls. We highly recommend that you keep a primary care doctor or other physician on your health care team to manage acute care situations. We are not equipped to manage life-threatening emergencies. If you are experiencing an emergency, you should call 9-1-1 or report to the nearest emergency room.

Where are you located?

We are currently located inside of Ruach Restoration’s Christian Counseling offices at 1711 Meriweather Dr. St 100, Watkinsville, GA 30677

Do you offer televisits?

We do! We are able to assess, order labs, diagnose, and treat women all over the state of Georgia.
